Clyde Update - 04.04.11

Last week was a pretty good week with extra food and lots of activity.  Then Sunday, he slept most of the day, only got up to eat the 2 cans of food.  Sniffed the heartworm pill, but wouldn't eat it right away (that was a first).  He just looked so lethargic.  Poor baby also had an accident in the hallway around midnight.  I think he was headed to the bedroom to try to let me know he needed to go out.  This morning, he wouldn't eat his food.  : (

Feet

I have always loved Clyde's oversized feet!  The fact that he doesn't like them to be touched doesn't stop us from kissing on them, and pretending to bite them - which sends him into a panic!!!

Monster has been sleeping a lot lately.  He refused to get up to go outside last night and held it 11 hours until it was time to get up for breakfast.  I love that every morning he's still super excited for his can food!  and, spoiled little thing that he is, now gets it twice a day since it's the only way we can get his heart medication down...  His heart has been pretty steady the past few days, he still has the arrhythmia when it's a normal rate.  <3

Camels in Texas?

Ok, so my friend in Prosper has neighbors with some interesting animals.  They have horses, cows, donkeys, a zebra, and as of last week - 2 camels!  We went over on Saturday and got to see them - along with the zebra and donkeys.  Of course, we also got to see Amy's new baby, Gabby, and their 4 boxers!

Clyde Update - 2.23.11

A much better night last night.  Got home and little man was asleep on the couch.  We tried oatmeal for the first time (read online that it's a natural anti-anxiety treatment for dogs), and he ate it all up.  Then he wanted even more food!  He crawled into bed with me and slept while I worked on the laptop.  He snores so loud it makes me laugh.  I also think it's a wonderful sign that he's comfortable and in a deep sleep.  This morning, he came in 30 mins before the alarm to wake me up for food.  He gets can food in the morning, so he's always up EXTRA early for this treat.  I gave him his heart pill in a little bit of food, and then waited 30 mins before giving him the rest - and what do I see in his bowl?  The heart pill!  So we had to do it all over again.  Big kiss on his nose before I walked out the door. 

Clyde Update - 02.22.11

Update on Clyde:  The past few months have been pretty good, but the last 3 nights have made us wonder if this is how it's going to be from now on.  Clyde's heart rate has been very erratic, he's lethargic (but also 9 years old), feels cold to the touch, excessive panting & some drooling at night, he's clingy - having to touch one of us, or be touched.  Then a few hours later, he's wiggly and running around the house.

I can't thank Julie enough for her adorable creation.  and I also have to give some credit to my hubby who picked out this fabric from all the Hello Kitty fabric I showed him.  Who knew it would be the best fit for a blythe dress?  Thank you both!  <3

Go Pack Go!

Couldn't be more proud of my boys for winning the NFC, and headed to the superbowl in North Texas!  Just have to make it through one more game to be crowned Super Bowl Champions!!!  With Jermichael Finley and half the defense on Injured Reserve, it's incredible how everyone has stepped up.  Go Pack Go!!!
